| Rescue
dogs entered into the mountain of YAKUSHIMA for mountains
victim search in the summer of 2000. I started the rescue
dog at the beginning of YAKUSHIMA, with the relation that
did the guide of this rescue dogs group. There are many
mountains accidents in YAKUSHIMA. Therefore it is
conceivable to introduce a rescue dog as one of a safe
measure. It is said that the olfactory sense of a dog is
one million times as a human being. A dog is able to
discover even the body that was buried for dozens of
years. The kind of a dog that becomes a rescue dog is not
decided. I chose KAI-KEN as the dog suitable for the
mountainous area like YAKUSHIMA. When we do the training
of a rescue dog, we must train even a handler. We
sometimes need physical strength and advanced technology
